St. Helena

The robust expedition ship with generous modern comforts for the Antarctic

St. Helena

Former supply ship for Antarctic expeditions with modern comforts, style, and extra space on board

The St Helena was originally built in Aberdeen in 1989 as a mail ship to supply the remote island of St Helena in the South Atlantic. In 2022, it underwent extensive modernization at a cost of £8 million. As a robust expedition ship, the St Helena now combines classic seafaring character and maritime history with contemporary comfort and travel in style.

Designed to accommodate 150 guests, the St. Helena takes a maximum of 98 passengers on its Antarctic expeditions. The spacious, stylishly renovated cabins offer sea views and all have their own bathroom. For families or groups, connecting doors provide flexible cabin solutions. The open decks and spacious observation lounges invite you to experience Antarctic wildlife and spectacular coastlines up close from the front row.
