Our family trip to the Arctic aboard the Plancius will remain unforgettable. The sight and the myriad colors of the glaciers, watching them crack and calve, listening to the whales breathe, observing the walruses playing in the water and on land, keeping an eye out for polar bears in the pack ice, hiking to various viewpoints, and experiencing the “Arctic Silence”—the entire trip was beautiful and magical.
The crew on the ship is great, the cabins are very practically furnished, and the food is varied and absolutely delicious.
A big thank you goes to Stephanie Gräf, who helped us very quickly and without any hassle after our flight was canceled at the last minute—on a Sunday, no less.

This trip was a dream! It actually far exceeded my long-held expectations. The sheer number of experiences and discoveries was absolutely amazing; for people who love the North, this trip is truly perfect. A key factor in the trip’s success was the wonderful sailing ship Rembrandt van Rijn, with an incredibly dedicated crew who not only constantly made us feel completely safe and ensured our well-being, but also ramped up the intensity of our experiences day after day right up until the very end.

We were even able to venture into the pack ice, step out from the sailing ship onto an ice floe, and see an incredible variety of birdlife, including Alkefjellet in the Hinlopen Strait; numerous polar bears, belugas, reindeer in droves, arctic foxes, countless walruses, and also had plenty of time to admire small colorful flowers and explore relics from Svalbard’s centuries-long history.

We watched the massive glaciers calve, and at the very end, we were able to observe the daily life of an arctic fox family up close. A trip at this time of year couldn’t offer more, and these experiences will surely stay with all the participants for a long time to come.

We just returned from a 4-week customized trip through Argentina and Chile that was superbly organized by Inventia. We traveled 2,500 km by rental car through southern Patagonia (Torres del Paine, Perito Moreno Glacier, El Calafate, and El Chalten) and then visited the Iguazu Falls and, of course, Buenos Aires. We booked our Antarctic trip (Fly & Cruise) in December 2025, as well as our round-trip flights from Austria, through “inventia.” We received excellent advice right from the start and felt very well taken care of.

We had a breathtaking, unforgettable trip in Antarctica! Toward the end, we were caught in a snowstorm, and our return flight from Antarctica to Punta Arenas (Chile) was delayed by two days—as was our return flight from South America to Austria. We were among the few lucky ones on board the ship who had a travel agency.

Many other guests had to spend hours on the phone with the airlines to cancel and rebook flights, which resulted in significant costs for them. “Inventia” / Ms. Gräf was even available to us over the weekend—it was very easy to reach her via WhatsApp. Our flights were rebooked for us, and a hotel for our last night was also booked for us. We were—and still are—grateful and thrilled with this service and would book a trip through Inventia again in a heartbeat! 100% recommended!

A few words about our trip.

It was a wonderful mix with different impressions from the most diverse regions and changing weather conditions.

Everything worked out, even though many different parties were involved.

As a result, the flight to Iguazú was delayed by several hours, so the program in Iguazú was adjusted accordingly. Your cooperation partner provided support on several occasions.

The German-speaking tour guide Enzo in Iguazu was original and explained everything to us in detail.

In our opinion, Ushuaia, with its wonderful hotel, is definitely worth a visit.

Incidentally, all hotels were selected to our complete satisfaction.

We were impressed by the boat trip on Lago Argentino. The view of the glaciers is beautiful.

Our host Silke at the estancia and her staff took excellent care of us, including with culinary delights.

About the Antarctic voyage that we will never forget. We are left with indelible impressions. It was worth it.

However, the specialty restaurant was only open on certain days, offered buffet service exclusively, and was accessible to everyone, so it was not a privilege.

In my opinion, it only served to relieve the main restaurant, where it was sometimes a little crowded. In our opinion, the quality of the buffet on Deck 8 did not match the quality of the menus in the main restaurant.

In summary: A trip that we will always remember. Very well planned and organized by you and your team.

We have been back home for 10 days now, and the impressions from our cruise to northern Norway on the MS Stockholm are still very much with us. It was a very special and impressive trip with a focus on the Northern Lights and whales, not least because we had the competent and empathetic support of Stephanie Gräf at our side during the planning, preparation, and execution of the trip.

What was so special about it?

First of all, there were only 12 passengers and the same number of crew members, so we practically had the ship to ourselves. We considered it an absolute luxury not to have to deal with crowds, to be able to go anywhere at any time, and to always have someone to talk to in our two guides and the crew members. The ship itself, built in 1953, is a beautifully restored maritime gem with a great atmosphere on board. Our group was very international, the mood was always good, and the encounters were stimulating and informative. We were able to devote ourselves extensively to the main attractions, the Northern Lights and whales, as we were treated to plenty of both during our five days on the ship. Those few days were enough to completely fill our hard drives with impressions.

We can wholeheartedly recommend this trip, and if you want to treat yourself to something special, stay on the Inventia website and Ms. Gräf will tell you everything else you need to know.

We’ve been back home for a week now, and the memories of our trip to Northern Norway—which focused on the Northern Lights and whales—still linger strongly. It was a truly special trip, not least because we knew we had a competent and empathetic guide by our side in Ms. Stephanie Gräf during the planning, preparation, and execution of the trip.

She kept track of our tour from behind the scenes, was always up to date, and was able to react immediately even to minor “hiccups”—such as the trip to Norway—even though it was the weekend. Bottom line: It was an exceptionally interesting trip to the far north with an exceptionally capable and friendly tour guide working behind the scenes.

We “had the pleasure” of booking our three-week Antarctic tour—including the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the Antarctic Peninsula, and the Drake Passage—in November 2024 with Inventia, owned by Ms. Gräf. We’ve dealt with many travel agencies before, but Ms. Gräf’s service is head and shoulders above the rest.

It all starts with travel recommendations, itineraries, personalized planning, sharing travel information, and assistance with various issues such as international health insurance, trip cancellation insurance, etc. Ms. Gräf is extremely helpful, always available, very knowledgeable in her recommendations, and always honest. I highly recommend this travel agency. Unfortunately, there are only 5 stars to give. It really should be significantly more. Thank you for everything.

We returned from the Antarctic Peninsula at noon today and are still reeling from the intensity of the trip. The Ortelius was exactly the right recommendation with the right presentation for us. The members of the Oceanwide team are absolutely professional, friendly, and compassionate. They show you Antarctica as a matter close to their hearts. With the rapid development of the travel market, this is probably still the most appropriate way to approach this region.

At the same time, it was fascinating to see how this tourism presents itself today: half of the participants were young Chinese, numerous overweight Americans, no British, no Germans except us, no French, but quite a few Dutch. Thirty-nine of the Chinese came through a single Asian travel agency, which arranged special conditions for the booking. Oceanwide takes this into account with Chinese tour guides and a big Chinese New Year party, but remains true to its ideals and unambiguously demands this from the Chinese partygoers. There were also some very friendly and open Chinese people there! The European guides are all really nice guys and take the time to deepen the subject from all sides with their experiences in personal conversations.

Chile-Argentina Round-Trip Tour with Antarctica (4 weeks, Nov./Dec. 2024)
A wonderful tour of Patagonia, perfectly organized with excellent accommodations. The trip was planned very competently, with flexible incorporation of personal preferences. Even during the trip, Inventia was always available in case of complications, and solutions were found quickly.
The highlight of the trip was, of course, the Antarctic cruise. Expectations were high, and they were even exceeded!

Now everyday life has caught up with us again, but in my heart I am still in Finland/Lapland!

It was an incredibly beautiful trip with many impressions!

We got to marvel at the Northern Lights twice! Simply amazing. They were so intense that we could see them with our own eyes. 

We really enjoyed the excursions we booked! The only one we skipped was the snowshoe hike. We were too tired from the snowmobile tour. We went snowshoeing privately for an hour.

Instead of the snowshoe tour, we were able to go on a reindeer sleigh ride on Monday. It was a wonderful farewell experience before heading to the airport. 

The return flight went well, unlike the outbound flight. 

We really liked the resort. The buffet was a little disappointing on the first two evenings. 

Afterwards, however, things improved and we were satisfied.  

The weather was great and not too cold, so we were able to go on all the excursions. 

That was a great adventure! 

We marveled at this special light! Like a fire in the sky. Incredibly impressive!

The Cape Verde island-hopping trip, including our requested two-day stopover in Lisbon, was perfectly organized by Inventia Reisen. The hotel in Lisbon was very elegant with well-appointed rooms; the breakfast was plentiful, and the location was excellent for exploring Lisbon on foot or for quickly and conveniently reaching attractions outside the city by subway.

All transfers went off without a hitch.

The Hilton Hotel on Sal, chosen by Inventia, was also perfect—spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, right on the beach, and within easy walking distance of town.
The day trip to Sal had a lot to offer; the tour guide was very dedicated and knowledgeable.
The boat trip gave us an immersive and diverse glimpse of the impressive and varied landscape of the Cape Verde Islands; most of the tour guides provided us with a wealth of interesting information. The excursion to Boa Vista could have been organized a bit better—the lunch break was extremely long, and we stopped at spots that weren’t ideal for swimming, while we drove right past some dream beaches. The excursion to Mindelo was a letdown; I’m sure I could have seen more on my own there.

We felt very comfortable on the yacht M/Y Variety Voyager. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive; breakfast was plentiful, with lots of fresh fruit, and when lunch was served, the selection was also very good. Only dinner had some shortcomings at times, especially with the main courses—the meat and fish were dry and tough (my impression: the chef didn't know how to cook).

All in all, it was a great trip, and Inventia did a perfect job organizing it; Ms. Gräf was always available as our point of contact.

Antarctica 2024 aboard the Plancius, a trip to the Antarctic Circle—an unforgettable experience. We’d been waiting for this trip since 2022 due to a postponement, and we haven’t regretted it for a second. First of all: the trip was fantastic!!!

She was just as promised.

Everything worked out perfectly... The organization and planning went smoothly. We wanted for nothing... The suite lived up to its promise, the food was great and, above all, very plentiful. There was always something available. The staff were very friendly and enjoyed their work. The planned excursions were wonderful... There was always an activity combined with a campfire and a snack... and a chance to chat with other guests.

Each tour had something special to offer and was very well planned. It was also very good and necessary that we were provided with appropriate thermal clothing... at -30 degrees. 🙂 So everything was great!

And the real highlight was the Northern Lights. We could see them every evening/night... outside and from our bed. Simply breathtakingly beautiful.

Your arrangements all worked out perfectly. All transfers were extremely punctual. The island tour on Sal was excellent, and the Hilton on Sal (as well as the hotel in Lisbon) was top-notch.

 

The island tour on the Variety Voyager was exactly what we had hoped for. The islands are spectacular, and each one has its own unique character. Most of the excursions were very good—only the city tour in Mindelo was a little disappointing. The ship is beautiful, and the service on board is excellent and extremely attentive (the €50 credit on board worked, by the way...).

 

Only the dinners did not quite meet our expectations—especially the main course was unsatisfactory on several occasions, both in terms of choice and quality. Overall, the cuisine is very "Greek-oriented"—as is the wine list.

It was perfect: the trip there was incredibly comfortable, the hotel and food were a dream, and the daily activities turned this vacation into an adventure! The absolute highlight, of course, was the nights with the Northern Lights. Lying in that cozy bed and watching that spectacle brought tears of joy to our eyes.

My husband and I were more than just impressed by the place. The unspoiled landscape and the sweeping views of nature are absolutely breathtaking. The main building, as well as the Kelo Glass Igloo where we stayed, were very spacious and lovingly furnished. The staff there were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was down-to-earth, featuring local delicacies, and very good. We also took part in many activities and were thrilled by every single one. Everything was well planned and organized throughout. And not to mention… on three consecutive evenings, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. Simply breathtakingly beautiful! We would go back to this resort in a heartbeat.
