The geographic South Pole is located fairly centrally on the Antarctic continental massif at 90°S, the southernmost point on Earth. It is surrounded by endless fields of ice and snow. This extremely remote location makes an expedition to the South Pole one of the most extraordinary travel experiences in the world.

Due to the shifting of the ice cap, the exact location of the geographic South Pole moves a few meters each year, although the position of 90°S remains constant.
