When you arrive in the Land of the Midnight Sun, a remote world of breathtaking landscapes awaits you as you sail across an endless, ice-covered expanse of sea.
Combine the beauty of the Antarctic Peninsula with a specific goal—reaching 66°33′ south latitude. By crossing the Antarctic Circle, you’ll join a small, select group of people who have not only been to Antarctica but have also ventured into a region that is rarely visited. Raise your glass and toast this personal milestone!
You’ll notice some changes in the landscape, with more sea ice and wildlife that thrives on the krill-rich waters. Join your expedition team and immerse yourself in the unique wildlife, whether it’s a penguin sliding down an iceberg and plunging into the crystal-clear water, a leopard seal lounging on the pack ice, or humpback whales peacefully passing by your Zodiac — your experience in Antarctica is unlike anything you’ve ever done before.
When exploring this remote region, the Scenic Eclipse and the Scenic Eclipse II benefit from their Ice Class 6 rating. Thanks to their state-of-the-art construction, they can navigate polar waters safely. To ensure the ultimate experience, the Scenic Eclipse and the Scenic Eclipse II each feature two helicopters* and a custom-built submarine*.
*Helicopter rides, helicopter experiences, and submarine tours are available at an additional cost, subject to government approval, availability, weight restrictions, medical clearance, and weather and ice conditions.
