Cruising along the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula, you will continue southward beyond the Antarctic Circle. Take a shortcut along the way and fly directly to King George Island in Antarctica!
On your charter flight, you will fly over the legendary Cape Horn and the magical Drake Passage before landing directly in Antarctica – one of the most spectacular places in the world. The coldest, windiest, driest, and most remote continent.
Your Antarctic expedition begins with breathtaking views on your included charter flight between Punta Arenas in Chile and King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. Experience the majesty of this remote continent from the air before being transferred to your ship.
You will hike in small groups to extraordinary places and travel by Zodiac to otherwise inaccessible areas in search of penguins, whales, and bizarre icebergs. Keep your camera handy! The goal of this Antarctic expedition is to reach the Antarctic Circle. The expedition team will determine the specific itinerary each day based on local conditions.
As a special highlight, I recommend that you sign up for the sea kayaking tour ( subject to a fee) or snowshoeing (subject to a fee) when you make your booking.

Arrival and departure: We offer customized travel packages including flights and hotels in Punta Arenas, as well as transfers and activities. We are also happy to suggest pre- and post-programs in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay to extend your trip.
Attention solo travelers: If you do not wish to have a single cabin, accommodation on board is possible in shared cabins. In this case, you will be accommodated with other travelers of the same gender and possibly of a different nationality. There are no single cabin surcharges.
Entry requirements: You can find constantly updated entry information for Chile for German citizens atthe Federal Foreign Office.
Insurance: Proof of international health insurance covering medical repatriationmust be provided.
Medical questionnaire:You are required to completea medical questionnaire before departure.

Fly&Cruise Antarctic Circle
Day 1: Start of the flight
The staff will welcome you in Punta Arenas, Chile (before 2:00 p.m.). You will be transferred to your hotel, visit the Explorers House, and attend a mandatory briefing that includes important information about your air cruise and explains the essential guidelines for visitors to Antarctica. A welcome dinner will introduce you to the local cuisine and provide an opportunity to meet other adventurers from around the world.
Day 2: Charter flight to Antarctica
A smooth two-hour flight takes you from Punta Arenas to King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. Your Antarctic adventure begins as soon as you leave the plane and breathe in the clear Antarctic air for the first time. You will then board a transfer vehicle, passing the Chilean Frei Station and the Russian Bellingshausen Station before reaching the coast. From there, a Zodiac will take you to your boutique expedition ship.
Days 3-8: Exploring Antarctica
Sail along ice-filled fjords and between spectacular icebergs while enjoying the company of seabirds, penguins, seals, and whales. Visit the South Shetland Islands and the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula and go ashore daily by Zodiac. In small groups, you will hike to extraordinary places and take part in Zodiac exploration trips that lead to otherwise inaccessible areas.
Our experienced polar guides share their passion for Antarctica through an exciting program of illustrated lectures and accompany you ashore to introduce you to the wildlife, history, and many wonders of the Antarctic environment.
Enjoy spectacular views from the glass-walled lounge while sharing your daily experiences with other guests over a drink. The goal of this expedition is to sail as far south as possible to reach the Antarctic Circle. The expedition team plans the specific route based on local conditions and takes advantage of the ever-changing opportunities that nature offers. Flexibility is the key to a successful voyage. Your route could include visits to places such as the South Shetland Islands, Antarctic Sound, Gerlache and Penola Straits, and Crystal Sound. Each voyage is unique and designed to provide the best possible overview of the diverse Antarctic environment.
Day 9: Return flight from Antarctica
Back on King George Island, you bid farewell to Antarctica and board the flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for the night.
Day 10: End of the flight
After breakfast, transfer to Punta Arenas Airport for your connecting flight.
The daily programs described here are for your guidance. The itinerary may vary considerably due to local ice and weather conditions, last-minute permit procedures, and local authorities, but also to respond to current conditions regarding wildlife viewing.Theexpedition leader on board will determine the final itinerary and daily program. Flexibility is of utmost importance during our expedition-style voyages.

SEA KAYAKING
Kayaking is one of the most beautiful ways to explore the Antarctic coastline. Under the guidance of an experienced kayak guide, you can explore even less frequented regions. Paddle between icebergs and pack ice and observe animals in their natural environment. Water dripping from your paddle – this is the only sound you will hear here. Kayaking in polar regions allows you to experience the untouched wilderness in a very special way.
In addition, the kayaking program is limited to a maximum of 20 participants to ensure personal attention. Prior kayaking experience and swimming skills are required to participate. The minimum age for participation is 15 years.
Kayaking is subject to weather and ice conditions, which may affect the itinerary.
SNOWSHOE HIKING
Take part in exciting hiking and snowshoeing excursions that offer an intense experience of the Antarctic wilderness. These excursions take place in small groups led by an experienced hiking and snowshoeing guide.
Snowshoeing does not require any special prior knowledge, but you do need to be in good health. Participants must be at least 15 years old. It is an exciting way to explore the polar world!
