Arctic Bath

Harads, Swedish Lapland, Sweden

Cold and hot spa

In winter, the Arctic Bath rises like a majestic bird's nest built from tree trunks out of the frozen Lule River. But inside, things are heating up: three different saunas and many different spa treatments such as massages, facials, and body treatments with organic products, as well as yoga classes and mindfulness training are on the program. The highlight is a challenge for most first-timers: bathing in the frozen Cold Tub of the Lule River, in the middle of the roundabout.

You can choose between a bungalow on land or on the water. There are 12 in total, all of which offer the best conditions for observing the Northern Lights: the 6 bungalows on land have huge glass windows facing the northern sky. The 6 floating bungalows offer, among other things, a spacious wooden terrace facing north.

Inside the bungalows, natural materials such as wood, stone, leather, and luxurious textiles are used, blending harmoniously with Scandinavian design. It is your perfect retreat under the northern sky.

Outdoor activities such as dog sledding, nature walks, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fat biking in the snow, moose safaris, bear watching, horseback riding, visits to Sami families, wildlife and northern lights photography allow you to explore the beautiful Arctic region during the best time to see the northern lights.

The 12 Arctic Bath Bungalows offer plenty of privacy and unobstructed views of the Lule River and the northern lights.
