RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES IN THE SNOW-COVERED NATURE
Day 1 | Flight to Luleå & Camp Check-in
You will be picked up from Luleå Airport and taken through the forests of Sweden to the camp. The last part of your journey marks the beginning of your break in nature: a short sleigh ride across the frozen lake. At the camp, you will be warmly welcomed with refreshments, after which you can check into your cozy Lapland Cone Room or spacious wooden teepee.
Spend an active afternoon: explore the surrounding forests on snowshoes, take a spin on winter bikes, or hit the trails for a cross-country skiing tour. Afterwards, relax in the forest sauna, warm up, and recharge your batteries—surrounded by silence, forest air, and the sounds of nature.
In the evening, enjoy a drink by the crackling fire before being served an authentic Swedish 4-course meal. Afterwards, take a stroll across the frozen lake to aid digestion – and with a little luck, you may see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky.
Start the day with a hearty breakfast before meeting your snowmobile guide. In the morning, you will head out into the Råne River Valley, where you will learn how to safely operate a snowmobile and ride through snow-covered forests, across frozen lakes, and up to higher elevations with impressive views of the winter landscape. During the lunch break, you will learn more about the history, nature, and climate of Swedish Lapland. Back at camp, enjoy a well-deserved break with a traditional Swedish fika —coffee and something sweet, accompanied by good company.
In the afternoon, the ice sauna awaits you—a true wellness experience on ice. Enjoy the pleasant warmth before diving straight into the icy water and experiencing a real endorphin rush. On request, you can also use the sauna privately in your own time slot.
Fortified by a candlelit dinner, you set off on an exciting aurora hunt, weather permitting. With snowshoes on your feet, you trudge through deep snow, climb hidden paths, and reach a viewpoint high above the forest. Enjoy a hot drink by the crackling fire while the starry sky shines above you—and with a little luck, the northern lights will dance above you. Afterwards, you will return to your cozy cabin, filled with unforgettable impressions.
After breakfast, set off for a day dedicated to Sami culture. Visit a traditional reindeer farm to learn more about the unique relationship between reindeer and their owners. You will also learn about the culture and work involved in being part of a Sami family. Try traditional cuisine during lunch around the campfire.
If you want to get creative in the afternoon, why not try your hand at ice sculpting? After a brief introduction, it's up to you to transform the large blocks of ice, taken directly from the river, into your masterpiece. You'll probably be able to continue working on it over the next few days.
You will spend the evening in the company of a Swedish family, enjoying typical food and interesting conversation. By now, you will feel almost at home in northern Sweden. At the end of the day, a snowmobile will pick you up and take you back to camp. The flickering of the northern lights will accompany you on the journey.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast to get you ready for your last outdoor adventure before heading back to the airport. One of the most typical ways to travel through the winter forests of the Arctic North is by dog sled. Today, you will learn how to harness the huskies and then drive your own dog team. Listen to the sound of the sled as it glides through the snow and the huskies run with joy. During the outdoor lunch break, sit by the fire and warm yourself with the dogs. Then they will return to their favorite activity: running.
After the husky tour, your guide will take you to Luleå Airport. You will head home feeling close to nature and full of new energy. Please note that the husky tour ends at around 1:30 p.m. Therefore, please book your return flight for 5:30 p.m. at the earliest.
More INFORMATION
Glamping & Action Camp
Glamping & Action Camp
The camp is the world's first glamping site of its kind, specially created to celebrate the unique climate of Arctic Sweden. The camp is nestled among trees on the shore of Lake Degerselet, part of the Råne River, and is surrounded by forest in all directions—except when you look up. The camp offers unobstructed views of the night sky, making it a perfect place for northern lights seekers in the fall and winter.
It has five heated cabins: three large tipis and two cozy Lapland Cone Rooms, offering guests a comfortable stay surrounded by the nature of Swedish Lapland. The sauna on the lake is open all year round: in winter it is frozen into the ice and in summer it floats peacefully on the water. The team is always on hand to ensure you can fully enjoy and relax during your stay. The camp is known for its high standards and personal touch when it comes to hospitality.
