advance reservation
The opening of the hotel under the management of Six Senses has now been postponed indefinitely. Great importance is being placed here on creating a sustainable travel destination.
++ We will keep you up to date on the project (subscribe to our newsletter!) and are happy to take your pre-reservation so that you can be among the first to spend an unforgettable time in this special hotel in a fragile environment. ++
Svart is located in Norway, north of the Arctic Circle, and is the world's first passive house hotel concept with a 360° view of the Svartisen glacier and Arctic nature. Its circular shape extends from the shoreline at the foot of the glacier to the clear waters of the Arctic fjord. Inside, futuristic design and technological innovation are combined with earthy, organic materials that consume as little energy as possible.

Svartisen is the second largest glacier on the Norwegian mainland. The A-shaped wooden structure is reminiscent of a 'Fiskehjell', a special device for drying fish, and thus blends in with the natural surroundings.
The name Svart, which means black in Norwegian, is a direct homage to the dark blue ice of the Svartisen glacier. In Old Norse, the word for black and blue is the same, and the hotel's name is a nod to the natural heritage of the ancient Svartisen glacier and its precious natural surroundings.
