Day 1 Flight across the Atlantic

You'll fly from Frankfurt to Toronto, where your tour guide will greet you and escort you to your centrally located, comfortable hotel, where you'll stay for three nights. (If you booked without flights, your trip begins on Day 2.)

Day 2 Toronto

A city tour will give you an insight into the metropolis on Lake Ontario. Numerous historic buildings provide a charming contrast to the skyscrapers that dominate the cityscape. You will enjoy lunch in the 553-meter-high CN Tower. Afterwards, you will visit the tower's observation deck with views of the metropolis and Lake Ontario. For the afternoon, we have organized a boat trip (in English) on Lake Ontario, where you will get to know Toronto from a different perspective. Conclude this eventful day in Canada's largest city with an individual walk along the lake shore, where numerous cafés invite you to linger. (FM)

Day 3 Toronto

If you wish, today's day trip will take you to one of the most impressive and famous natural wonders in the world: with a thunderous roar, the Niagara River plunges over the nearly 1,000 m wide and 55 m deep rock step, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of this natural phenomenon up close from a boat. This is followed by a walk through Niagara-on-the-Lake, a town characterized by Victorian cottages. After an early dinner, you will return to Toronto. (B)

Day 4 Through lakes and forests with the Canadian

Your transcontinental journey on The Canadian begins at Toronto’s Union Station. Today’s journey across the Canadian Shield will take you past Maligne Lake and Ontario’s 129 lakes and forests. Sit back, relax, and let yourself be pampered in the dining car! Elevated viewing areas in the panoramic car, which is encased in a glass dome, offer you a magnificent panoramic view. (FMA)

Day 5 From Ontario to Manitoba

As we travel from the province of Ontario to Manitoba, the landscape changes throughout the day. Lakes and forests give way to prairies. (FMA)

Day 6 Prairie – breadbasket and pastureland

Enjoy the excellent service on board as you cross the vast prairies! Grain farming and cattle ranching make this gigantic area one of the most important agricultural regions in the world. (FMA)

Day 7 Jasper National Park

In the morning, your train reaches the majestic Rocky Mountains. Take a bus tour to explore Jasper National Park and visit Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake. If you wish, you can take a boat trip to Spirit Island, which has become an ambassador for Canada as a motif on postcards and calendars (optional excursion). In the late afternoon, you will check into your room at your lodge. (FA)

Day 8 Icefields Parkway

During the 4-hour bus ride along the Icefields Parkway, you’ll encounter breathtaking flora and fauna. You’ll experience the glaciers of the Columbia Icefields from the Glacier Skywalk overlook. The particularly brave can venture out onto the glass-bottomed viewing platform. In Banff, the famous main town of the national park of the same name, you’ll check into your room at a comfortable hotel for the next three nights. You’ll also have the option to book a helicopter sightseeing flight over the breathtaking mountain scenery right there on site. (B)

Day 9 Banff National Park

After breakfast, your exciting tour of Banff National Park begins, where you will take a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain and visit Bow Falls, among other attractions. In the evening, enjoy local cuisine at a restaurant in Banff. (FA)

Day 10 Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, and Emerald Lake

Start the day with a trip to Moraine Lake. Located in the Valley of Ten Peaks, this milky blue glacial lake is characterized by its tranquil, sheltered location surrounded by rocky peaks. Another highlight of the day is a visit to Lake Louise, a mountain lake in a dreamlike setting at the foot of the Victoria Glacier. Continue on to Yoho National Park, where the turquoise Emerald Lake awaits you. Its spectacular location and the wonderful color of its water make it one of Canada's most beautiful attractions. (B)

Day 11: By train through the Rocky Mountains

Today, you will cross the Rocky Mountains in the famous Rocky Mountaineer. While you are treated to meals at your seat, you will enjoy spectacular views of the mountain passes and the Shushwap Lake landscape. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at your mid-range hotel in Kamloops. (FM)

Day 12 Along the Fraser River

Traveling along the Thompson and Fraser Rivers, the Rocky Mountaineer takes you through breathtaking canyons. In the late afternoon, your train arrives at its destination, Vancouver, where you’ll stay for the next three nights at a centrally located, comfortable hotel. (FM)

Day 13 Vancouver

On a bus tour, you’ll get to know this city of contrasts. Vancouver’s historic district, with its lovingly restored Victorian-era buildings, is now a vibrant entertainment district. After visiting the lively Chinatown district and the Chinese Garden, you’ll take a scenic drive through Stanley Park. From here, you can enjoy a view of the downtown Vancouver skyline and see the totem poles displayed in the park. You’ll spend the afternoon in Vancouver’s charming surroundings and enjoy a completely new perspective on the magnificent natural scenery at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Back in Vancouver, you’ll enjoy your farewell dinner at the Harbour Centre’s observation restaurant, located 167 meters above the ground. (FA)

Day 14 Vancouver

The day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Tip: Take an optional excursion by bus and ferry to Vancouver Island! There, you’ll visit the sprawling Butchart Gardens, where the year-round splendor of the flowers is sure to delight any garden lover. After lunch, you’ll continue on to Victoria, where it’s not just the red double-decker buses that remind you of the United Kingdom. Around every corner, you’ll find well-tended gardens, stately hotels, restaurants with a bohemian flair, and breweries. (B)

Day 15 Farewell to Vancouver

Your return flight departs around noon. (B)

Day 16 Arrival in Frankfurt
