Day 1 Flight across the Atlantic

You'll fly from Frankfurt to Toronto. Upon arrival, you'll make your own way to your comfortable hotel.

Day 2: A City on Lake Ontario

On an English-language city tour, you’ll explore Toronto’s contrasts between glittering skyscrapers and historic grand buildings. Passing by Old City Hall, bustling Dundas Square, and the Waterfront, the tour takes you to the CN Tower, the city’s landmark. From a height of about 346 meters, you’ll admire the view of the sprawling metropolis, the vast Lake Ontario, and the Toronto Islands. The afternoon is yours to spend as you wish.

Day 3 Toronto

If you’d like, an English-speaking guided day trip will take you today to one of the world’s most impressive and famous natural wonders: With a thunderous roar, the Niagara River plunges over the nearly 1,000-meter-wide and 55-meter-deep rock ledge, and from a boat, you’ll enjoy a spectacular, up-close view of this natural phenomenon. You’ll refuel with a hearty buffet before driving along the picturesque Niagara Parkway and later enjoying some free time in the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Day 4: Traveling Through Ontario on the Canadian

Your exciting train journey on The Canadian begins at Toronto’s Union Station. Sit back, relax, and let yourself be pampered in the dining car! Elevated viewing areas in the glass-domed panoramic car offer a magnificent panoramic view of Ontario’s lakes and forests. (MA)

Day 5: Prairie as far as the eye can see

As you travel from the province of Ontario to Manitoba, the landscape changes throughout the day. Lakes and forests give way to the vast prairie. In the evening, you’ll arrive in Winnipeg, Manitoba’s vibrant prairie metropolis at the confluence of the Assiniboine and Red Rivers. You’ll spend the night here at a hotel. (FMA)

Day 6: Off to the Far North

In the morning, a comfortable flight will take you to the rugged coast of Hudson Bay. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on an English-language discovery tour of Churchill. Among other stops, you’ll visit the picturesque Cape Merry and get a glimpse from the outside of the polar bear reintroduction project, jokingly known as “Polar Bear Jail.” Afterward, you’ll check into your room at a cozy lodge, where you’ll stay for the next four nights. Day 7: In the Footsteps of Arctic Giants

Today, you’ll experience the vast, serene beauty of Hudson Bay on an extended boat tour along the coast. Keep a watchful eye out for Arctic wildlife in this unique region—with a little luck, you’ll spot majestic polar bears both in the water and on land. Experienced local guides will accompany you and provide fascinating insights in English into the lives and habits of these animals. (FMA)

Day 8: In the Realm of the Beluga

In the morning, you’ll glide through the cool waters by boat and witness the impressive beluga whales in their natural habitat. Afterward, you’ll take a walk around the historic Prince of Wales Fort, where you’ll learn fascinating facts about the famous explorers who once lived there in the 18th century. (FMA)

Day 9: Churchill

You can spend this free day in Churchill however you like. There are many options for activities here: relaxing kayaking excursions, innovative Beluga Aqua Gliding tours, and dog-sled rides on wheels ensure a varied day (optional excursions; bookable and payable on site). (FMA)

Day 10: A Gentle Farewell

Before you begin your journey back south, one very special experience awaits you: the fascinating Summer Tundra Tour. It takes you deep into the summer tundra landscape around Churchill. As you travel in a special off-road vehicle, you’ll discover the region’s unique flora and fauna. Have your camera ready—the animals’ curiosity often makes for unforgettable moments! Afterward, you’ll board the Hudson Bay Express train—your return journey to Winnipeg begins. (FM)

Day 11: On the Hudson Bay Express

Today, you’ll ride the legendary Hudson Bay Express through the vast, open plains of the Canadian tundra back toward the south. With a little luck, you’ll spot moose and other wildlife along the way, as they make their way through the scrubland and lake scenery.

Day 12: Back in Civilization

Your train rolls leisurely on through the seemingly endless solitude of the Canadian prairie. Today, you’ll have time to reflect on your unforgettable experiences in the Canadian Arctic and look through your photos. Memories of Churchill, the town of polar bears, and your fascinating encounters with the curious beluga whales in the Churchill River will stay with you on the final leg of your journey. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Winnipeg, where you’ll check into your hotel room for the next two nights.

Day 13: Manitoba's Capital City

Today is yours to enjoy as you wish, and it’s the perfect opportunity to explore Winnipeg at your own pace. We recommend visiting the Canadian Museum for Human Rights as part of an optional excursion. This modern building dominates the city’s skyline and features interactive exhibits on the history of human rights in Canada and their significance in today’s society. Immerse yourself in moving stories, learn more about Indigenous cultures, and gain insights into their role and importance in modern-day Canada.

Day 14: Bye-bye, Canada!

Today, you’ll make your own way to the Winnipeg airport. Your return flight to Frankfurt departs later this morning. (If you booked without flights, your trip ends on Day 14)
