Day 1: Saigon – My Tho – Tan Phong Island (Cai Be)

We welcome our guests in the morning in our welcome lounge. While you relax with a cup of coffee or tea, our team takes care of the check-in formalities. Afterward, we leave the bustling city of Saigon and set off on the 70-kilometer journey to My Tho, where our ship is already waiting to welcome you aboard. Once you’ve settled into your luxurious floating “home,” our journey begins along the majestic Mekong, one of Asia’s most important waterways. As the ship glides gently upstream, a delicious lunch buffet awaits you in the restaurant. As dusk falls, the Mekong Delta is bathed in a golden glow, giving you the opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers and join the official welcome reception featuring canapés and Prosecco. During dinner, we’re expected to reach Tan Phong Island near Cai Be and drop anchor in the middle of the river. Here you’ll get a first glimpse of the vibrant surroundings we’ll be exploring on land during our Mekong adventure. Round out the evening in a relaxed atmosphere in the onboard cinema with a gripping classic film or an exciting documentary. During dinner, we’re expected to reach Tan Phong Island near Cai Be, where we’ll anchor in the middle of the river. Here, you’ll get a first glimpse of the lively surroundings that we’ll explore tomorrow during our Mekong adventure on land. Round off the evening in the onboard cinema with an interesting classic film or a captivating documentary. (MA)

Day 2: Tan Phong Island – Binh Thanh Island – Tan Chau

Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the delta at dawn and take part in a morning tai chi class, followed by a hearty breakfast buffet. Visit the town of Cai Be and learn how rice paper, rice crackers, rice wine, and coconut candies are traditionally made. The journey continues to Tan Phong Island, where you’ll sample tropical fruits in the garden of a local family. Take a buggy ride to get a glimpse into the daily lives of the locals, and visit a family that specializes in the artful weaving of water hyacinths. Optional Culinary Theme Excursion* In the afternoon, the ship will anchor near Binh Thanh in the Sa Dec region. Several communities live on this island, earning their livelihood by cultivating water hyacinths. During a walk through the village, you can observe the traditional production of mats and strike up a conversation with an elderly couple who have spent their entire lives on this island. Before dinner, enjoy a presentation on life in the Mekong Delta while the ship sails to Tan Chau, where it will anchor for the night. (FMA)

Day 3: Tan Chau – Border Crossing – Phnom Penh

After a morning tai chi session and a hearty breakfast, you’ll explore the region, which has become known for its aquaculture. Aboard the “Xelois” (the Vietnamese word for rickshaws) in Tan Chau, you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant city life. You can observe the bustling workshops and street vendors, as well as visit the local market to watch the locals as they do their morning shopping. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Cao Dai Temple, where a priest will tell you more about this religious community. Finally, the tour takes you to a family-run fish farm, where you’ll gain fascinating insights into the operations of this extraordinary business. Optional culinary-themed excursion* Enjoy the soothing rhythm of the cruise as the ship travels upriver toward Phnom Penh. Pamper yourself with a spa treatment, relax on the sun deck, enjoy the view from your private balcony, or take part in a culinary workshop where you’ll discover the diversity of Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisine. In Phnom Penh, the ship docks either in the middle of the river or directly at the pier. (FMA)

Day 4: Phnom Penh

Welcome to Phnom Penh, a city once known as the “Paris of the East.” Despite its rapid development, it has retained its original charm and elegant atmosphere. Phnom Penh is a remarkable city with centuries of history and culture that can still be felt on every street corner today. Our full-day sightseeing tour begins right after breakfast to explore the city’s highlights. We’ll start with a traditional cyclo tour (three-wheeled bicycle taxi), visiting historic landmarks such as the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Our excursion also takes us to the “S21” prison, a harrowing and grim chapter in Cambodia’s history during the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s. After a lunch break, we continue our tour with a visit to the famous “Sosoro” Museum. To wrap up our day in Phnom Penh, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the city’s French Quarter, which leads us to the iconic Wat Phnom monument. In the evening, we invite you to an engaging lecture in the lounge. To cap off this eventful day, a delicious open-air barbecue and a festive gala dinner await you, accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance performance. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city at night, enjoy Phnom Penh’s vibrant nightlife, or stroll along the lively river promenade. (FMA)

Day 5: Phnom Penh – Koh Chen – Kampong Laeang – Kampong Tralach (Tonle River)

Enjoy the view of the breathtaking landscape as the ship glides into Cambodia’s enchanting Tonle River at sunrise. Visit Koh Chen Island, known for its silversmith village. Here, 400 families breathe life into silver, copper, and brass, crafting intricate works of art and jewelry. As you stroll across the island, discover the impressive creations that once adorned the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh and are a testament to exceptional craftsmanship. Lunch is served as you travel upstream, while the crew showcases traditional Khmer attire for special occasions. Arrival in Kampong Laeang, located across from the famous pottery town of Kampong Chhnang. Hop aboard tuk-tuks to experience Cambodian rural life up close. Meet locals, witness traditional pottery-making, and visit a charming pre-Angkorian temple. From a lookout point, enjoy panoramic views of vast floodplains and lush rice fields (seasonal). Optional culinary-themed excursion* After returning on board, the journey continues downstream toward Kampong Tralach, where we’ll anchor for the night. (FMA)

Day 6: Kampong Tralach (Tonle River) – Prek Bangkong – Angkor Ban (Mekong River)

Discover the rural Cambodian countryside around Kampong Tralach. Take an oxcart ride past picturesque rice fields to a small village, where you can learn about a local school and library project run by a nongovernmental organization, or visit a 300-year-old temple and a Buddha shrine. The ship sails downstream toward Phnom Penh and stops at a small silk-weaving community. Visit the small village of Prek Bangkong, known for its silk weaving and as a former residence of the royal family. Admire the intricate process of silk production and visit the historic house of H.E. Sam-El, a renowned architect to the royal family. We’ll spend the rest of the day cruising down the Mekong River to our overnight destination. Before dinner, enjoy a relaxing sundowner cocktail by the pool with music and dancing, and then round out the evening at the onboard movie theater. (FMA)

Day 7: Angkor Ban – Kampong Cham – Stueng Trang

The morning tai chi session sets the mood for exploring Angkor Ban. Discover the hidden treasures of this village, home to a monastery and a charming local community. Chat with the monks during the morning lessons and interact with the villagers to immerse yourself in their way of life and create beautiful memories of Cambodia’s rural lifestyle. Optional Culinary Theme Excursion* The ship departs for Kampong Cham at lunchtime. Explore Kampong Cham, an important trading hub dotted with small hamlets where the community’s daily life blends with the locals’ artisanal skills. Witness the production of handmade goods in Cheung Kok, ranging from food and fashion to everyday necessities. Afterward, the ship sets out on its final journey and docks near Stueng Trang, where a festive, farewell atmosphere prevails. (FMA)

Day 8: Stung Treng – Siem Reap

Enjoy your final breakfast aboard the floating sanctuary. You’ll disembark and take a bus to Siem Reap—a journey of about 4 hours. During the ride, the tour guides will share interesting facts about Cambodia and the region you’re passing through.
