Experience the South Seas comfortably and up close

The comfortable Aranui 5 was built in 2015, replacing its aging sister ship, the Aranui 3. Since then, it has been a pleasure to travel through the islands of French Polynesia and the Marquesas, because in addition to the ship's modern furnishings and amenities and the cruise-like character of your trip, you become part of everyday Polynesian life.

The Aranui 5 supplies the islanders with all the goods they need to live and only calls at the islands every three weeks. The islanders are therefore delighted when the cargo ship docks, as this is one of the highlights of their everyday life on the island.

Up to 230 guests can find a comfortable home on 8 decks in 103 stylishly designed outside cabins and suites, as well as two dormitories. All cabins are air-conditioned and have their own bathroom with shower.

The interior design is in the style of the Marquesas Islands and decorated with paintings by Paul Gauguin and original drawings by the German-born island painter Erhard Lux.

The ship's amenities also include an outdoor pool, a library, a boutique, a spa, a gym, the first tattoo studio at sea, a restaurant, and three bars.
