Stella Australis & Ventus Australis

Small expedition ships for the narrow fjords of Patagonia

Stella Australis & Ventus Australis

Two small expedition ships – tailor-made for up-close exploration of Patagonia's rugged landscapes

Completed in 2010, the Stella Australis and the Ventus Australis, launched in 2017, are modern and very comfortable expedition ships that were specially designed for voyages through the remote, rugged southern Patagonia and the rough seas around Cape Horn.

Their innovative design combines technological precision with stylish restraint. Compact and agile, they navigate confidently through narrow fjords, narrow waterways, and along remote coastlines that are inaccessible to larger vessels.

Both ships offer an exceptional amount of space for a manageable number of guests (maximum 200 passengers) and there is a personal, peaceful atmosphere on board. The ideal setting for intense nature experiences far away from the beaten track.

Spacious outside cabins with large panoramic windows allow you to experience the changing landscapes of Patagonia from first light to dusk. Whether on the open deck, in the stylish lounges, or enjoying a meal in good company, the Ventus and Stella Australis make every minute on board part of your expedition cruise.

Equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and safety technology, the ships will reliably take you to the most remote corners of the region—where wind, water, and ice have shaped the landscape for centuries.

Follow in the footsteps of explorers and naturalists aboard the Stella Australis or Ventus Australis—and experience Patagonia as few have ever seen it.
