Day 1 Flight to Bangkok

Day 2 Bangkok
Arrival in Bangkok in the morning. Today is yours to explore at your leisure. If you wish, you can also discover some of Bangkok's highlights on a full-day city tour including lunch. Be enchanted by the Royal Palace and its impressive grounds! Marvel at the delicate Jade Buddha and the size of the reclining Buddha in Wat Po Temple! Afterwards, enjoy your welcome dinner. You will stay for one night in a comfortable hotel. (D)
Day 3 Arrival in Vientiane
After your connecting flight to Vientiane, you will take an afternoon tour of the city's highlights, including the That Luang National Shrine and the photogenic Arc de Triomphe. During low water, you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel in central Vientiane. In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner together featuring Asian delicacies. (FA)
Day 4 Cast off on the Mekong!
Today it's time to cast off! You begin your spectacular journey upriver to previously unnavigable areas of the Mekong River. Enjoy the spacious decks, bar, and restaurant area on board. Tonight, you will stay on your stylish boutique ship surrounded by nothing but untouched nature. At low tide, you will first travel overland and then experience today's river stage aboard a traditional Laotian longboat until you board your river cruise ship. (FMA)
Day 5 Panoramas along the great river
Today is another enchanting day with magnificent panoramic landscapes. Rice terraces and banana plantations appear repeatedly on the banks between individual teak stands as your ship sails towards Salakham. Enjoy the panoramic views in this undeveloped region and observe the local fishermen and the everyday life of the villagers along the river. (FMA)
Day 6 Laotian tranquility
Sit back and enjoy the impressive river panoramas of the Mekong from the comfort of the sun deck or your cabin. Weather permitting, you can take a short hike to a largely undiscovered cave today. In your free time, you can relax on the sun deck or listen to the entertaining lectures on board. You will also learn interesting details about the history of Laos and its people in an entertaining way. Perhaps you would like to take part in a fruit tasting on board? (FMA)
Day 7 Wild Mekong landscapes
The passing landscape becomes increasingly spectacular: mountains covered in tropical rainforest, impressive rock formations, and the alternation between slow and wild currents create a unique natural spectacle. Feel like you're on a real Mekong expedition, but with all the comforts of your boutique ship. After passing through the dam lock at Xayaburi, you will meet the residents of a small village that is regularly visited by our guests and supported with donations. (FMA)
Day 8 Kuang Si Waterfalls
A morning excursion takes you to the impressive Kuang Si Waterfalls before you reach the ancient royal city of Luang Prabang in the afternoon. You explore the UNESCO-protected old town on foot and visit the city's most famous temple, Wat Xieng Thong, a masterpiece of Laotian architecture. Afterwards, you will take part in a traditional Laotian Baci friendship ceremony on board, accompanied by classical Laotian music and dance. (FMA)
Day 9 The royal city of Luang Prabang
In the morning, you will have the opportunity to watch monks collecting alms in the traditional manner, or even take part yourself. After this fascinating experience, you can venture to the market, where all kinds of goods are on offer. Be warned, this visit is only for those with strong stomachs! The former royal palace is now an informative museum, and not far away is the oldest monastery in the city. In addition to numerous temples, French colonial architecture also enriches the city. From the summit of Phou Si Mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the old town, the Mekong River, the Khan River, and the surrounding mountains. In the evening, you can stroll through the night market, where members of the surrounding mountain tribes offer their wares. The city has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine – from stylish French and Indian restaurants to numerous terrace restaurants on the Mekong, colorfully illuminated in the evening. (FM)
Day 10 Pak Ou Caves
During breakfast, you will continue north, where you will go ashore to visit the famous Pak Ou Caves. Inside the caves, you will find over a thousand Buddha statues! In a traditional village, you will witness how schnapps is distilled using traditional methods. In the evening, your river cruise ship will anchor on a sandbank or on the riverbank, where you can enjoy your dinner on board surrounded by unspoiled nature. (FMA)
11th day Laotian tranquility
Relax on deck today as you enjoy the diverse landscapes and tranquil beauty of northern Laos, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As the lush green hills pass by, your ship will head towards Nam Tha, one of the most important estuaries of the Mekong River. In the evening, enjoy our famous Mekong River Cruises barbecue dinner at a picturesque riverside location. (FMA)
Day 12 Relaxation on board and village life
The great variety of landscapes, which now slowly transitions into tropical mountain forests, is impressive. You will travel by pickup truck to a village of the Khmu people, where you will have the opportunity to get to know the unique way of life of this mountain tribe in an authentic way. Day 13 Welcome to Northern Thailand
An excursion takes you to the infamous Golden Triangle near Chiang Saen, where you will visit the Golden Buddha of Sop Ruak and a museum that tells the story of opium cultivation, which is now banned. You will then travel to Chiang Rai, where you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel. (FMA)
Day 14 The Golden Triangle and journey home
Today you’ll explore Chiang Rai and its most notable sights. The main attraction is the famous Wat Phra Keo temple, where, according to legend, the story of the legendary Jade Buddha begins.
