Keemala Resort

Tropical jungle nest

Keemala Resort | Phuket, Thailand

Secluded from the usual hustle and bustle of Phuket and located in the middle of the rainforest, this enchanting hotel complex appears magical, mystical, and mysterious at first glance. Almost surreal, the resort's 38 villas hang like nests in the treetops and are connected by bridges.

The treehouse-like villas, surrounded by lush, jungle-like greenery, give you the feeling of being in a tropical wonderland. This impression is further enhanced by the gentle sound of small waterfalls and exotic birdsong.
The 38 villas, cottages, and tent bungalows of this exceptional resort are uniquely integrated into the natural surroundings and inspired by fictional tribes. They are constructed from natural materials such as bamboo, clay, and fine wood. Inside, the accommodations captivate with their traditional interiors, stylish design, comfort, and elegance.

Outside, a spacious terrace with its own pool guarantees privacy and a jungle feeling, including an incomparable view of the small village of Kamala and the Andaman Sea.

At Mala Spa, you can experience relaxation and learn to face the pace of the modern world with serenity. Yoga, Pilates, Thai Chi, and meditation classes allow you to take a break from everyday life and slow down your body and soul.

Those looking for a sporting challenge will find what they are looking for in circuit training or Thai boxing.

Two restaurants will spoil you with first-class culinary experiences. The southern Thai and international dishes will convince you of the hosts' culinary skills.

The "Small Luxury Hotel of the World" award speaks for itself: Keemala Resort is one of the best hotels not only in Thailand, but in the whole world. It is a true wonder in the Kamala rainforest.
Enjoy a relaxing vacation in the freshness and tranquility of the Thai jungle.

CLAY POOL COTTAGES

The resort has 14 one-bedroom Clay Pool Cottages (size: 126m², pool size: 21m²) and 2 two-bedroom Clay Pool Cottages with shared bathrooms (size: 180m², pool size: 24m²).

The Clay Pool Cottages are inspired by the 'PA-TA-PEA' clan (EARTH), which consisted of farmers, fishermen, gardeners, carpenters, blacksmiths, and miners. They believed that a connection to the earth would bring them health benefits. Not only did they build their houses at ground level, they also incorporated earth into their walls, roofs, and furniture; even the beds they slept on were made of earth and clay.

Tree Pool Houses

The 7 tree houses on 2 floors have one bedroom and a pool (size: 169m², pool size: 25m²).

The 'WE-HA' clan (SKY) was a group that built their houses elevated above the ground and in the treetops in order to gain more creativity and freedom. The clan included talented creators, architects, inventors, healers, and geologists. The villas give the impression of being suspended from the trees with some furniture, whereby the suspension was also used as a feature.

TENT POOL VILLAS

The 7 tent villas with pool have one bedroom (size: 140m², pool size: 30m²).

The KHON-JORN clan (WANDERERS) were adventurous people consisting of foresters, herders, artists, traders, and explorers who spent their time bartering goods with other tribes they encountered on their travels. Due to their nomadic lifestyle, they preferred to build semi-permanent homes so that they could easily move on.

Bird's Nest Pool Villas

The 8 bird's nest villas have one bedroom and a pool (size: 185m², pool size: 30m²).

The members of the 'RUNG-NOK' clan (NEST) enjoyed an opulent lifestyle. Their pursuit of exclusivity led to the woven tangle of a bird's nest pattern. This clan was considered intellectually superior and consisted of artists, musicians, poets, philosophers, and astrologers who bathed in the moonlight and believed their souls would be regenerated.
