Advance information
Your arrival in and departure from Mahé or Zanzibar are not included in your travel price.
Since our customers all have individual wishes for their trip, we are happy to book flights separately. Of course, the flights then become part of a secure package tour. We recommend an overnight stay in Mahé or Zanzibar to cushion any irregularities with your flight or lost luggage. We are happy to organize everything for you on request. Please contact us.
We offer this itinerary in two directions and also with a duration of 11 days: The 12-day trip from Mahé to Zanzibar is presented below day by day. On some dates, the route runs in the opposite direction from Zanzibar to Mahé with only slight deviations. Please note that Misali Island is not included in the shorter trips. We will be happy to send you the detailed itineraries on request!
Day 1: Embarkation at L’Escale Marina (Mahé)
After your warm welcome in Mahé, you will board the Aqua Lares – your luxurious home for the upcoming journey. Get to know the crew, settle into your spacious suite, and discover the ship's stylish communal areas.
On the way to your first destination, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the sun deck as the ship glides past the neighboring islands of Sainte Anne National Marine Park.
Day 2: Remire Island
Your next destination is Remire Island, where you can observe seabirds and land birds amid the coastal vegetation and keep an eye out for giant tortoises. For divers, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the region's fascinating underwater world for the first time. Later, you can round off the day with a sundowner on the island's pristine white sandy beach.
Day 3: Alphonse Island & Saint-Francois Atoll
In the morning, a tender boat will take you to Alphonse Island. There you can explore a lush coconut palm forest and snorkel along the coast, where impressive hard coral reefs and a rich marine fauna await you.
In the afternoon, the Aqua Lares continues its journey to Saint-François Atoll. In this unique natural area , young sharks, crabs, and avocets can be observed in the mangroves. Here, too, the crystal-clear water and the enormous coral structures in the lagoons and on the offshore reef invite you to go snorkeling.
Day 4: Farquhar Island
The day begins with an exploration of Farquhar Island, which delights visitors with its bright blue waters, species-rich underwater world, and numerous seabirds, including red-footed boobies.
Snorkelers and divers have the rare opportunity to discover largely untouched coral reefs here. The island is also ideal for fly fishing or kayaking.
Day 5: Astove Island
Thanks to the famous Astove Wall, Astove is considered one of the most outstanding snorkeling and diving spots in the Indian Ocean. This natural wonder—often referred to as the "underwater Grand Canyon"—stretches for around six kilometers, is covered with soft corals, and is home to numerous marine creatures such as rays, sharks, and colorful reef fish. With steep drop-offs and visibility of up to 40 meters, Astove is an absolute highlight on the wish list of passionate divers.
Day 6: Aldabra Atoll
In the morning, you will be treated to a view of Aldabra, a coral atoll with one of the most isolated ecosystems in the world. It is home to the largest population of giant tortoises in the world – more than 100,000 of these fascinating animals roam the four islands of the atoll.
The surrounding waters are also rich in life: tropical fish, sharks, and sea turtles can be found here, as well as manta rays that occasionally pass by.
Day 7: Aldabra Atoll & Assumption
Your voyage of discovery on Aldabra and Assumption continues with guided coastal walks, where you will encounter coconut crabs and frigate birds. Tender boats will take you to explore Aldabra's lagoon and lush mangrove forests, which consist mainly of endemic plants. The coral atoll also offers excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities all year round in a species-rich underwater world.
Day 8: At sea
As you spend the day at sea heading towards Tanzania, you can relax in the onboard spa or hot tub. With a little luck, you may have the opportunity to watch red-footed boobies hunting flying fish over the open sea.
Those who wish can attend presentations by experienced nature guides and learn more about the geology, flora, and fauna of the region. Enjoy culinary highlights throughout the day and round off the evening with stargazing on the sun deck.
Day 9: Kilwa Kisiwani
Kilwa Kisiwani, once an important trading port, exudes Arabic flair. The island is home to historic ruins, including the Great Mosque from the 12th century and the Husuni Kubwa Palace, which was built at the beginning of the 14th century. The coasts of Kilwa Kisiwani are lined with lush mangrove forests with impressive biodiversity.
Day 10: Pemba Island
Pemba Island, one of Africa's best diving destinations, is a true natural and cultural gem. The island is dotted with the remains of once-important sultanates, now nestled among lush green hills and clove plantations.
Day 11: Misali Island
Misali, a small island off the west coast of Pemba, is surrounded by white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. The forests in the interior of the island provide shelter for green monkeys, while the surrounding reefs offer excellent snorkeling opportunities. A wide variety of marine life can be discovered in the vibrant coral gardens.
Day 12: Azam Marine Harbor in Zanzibar
The final day of your superyacht expedition through the Seychelles and along the coast of Tanzania begins with a sumptuous breakfast as you watch the beautiful sunrise. Enjoy the views from on board one last time and say goodbye to the crew before disembarking in Zanzibar.
This impressive journey comes to an end with an accompanied transfer to the airport. If you don't want to say goodbye to the Indian Ocean or Africa just yet, please feel free to ask us about your extension options – for example, in a boutique hotel in Zanzibar or on a coffee plantation in Tanzania.

Snorkeling & Diving
Snorkeling is a wonderful way to experience the incredible biodiversity of the waters around the Seychelles up close. Many snorkeling spots in the Indian Ocean are characterized by shallow, clear water that is frequented by tropical marine life. Similar to the land animals on the islands, the underwater inhabitants are not shy around humans – which makes every marine expedition a very special experience. Look forward to playful rays, colorful reef fish, and gentle sea turtles swimming harmoniously alongside you.
Each guest receives their own snorkeling equipment on board—consisting of a mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit—which is available for use throughout the trip. Some of the best snorkeling spots in the Seychelles include:

Important:
- Onboard language: English, English-speaking guides

- Medical care: Health and Safety Officer on board (also acts as paramedic); trained personnel for minor injuries such as abrasions, puncture wounds, or sprains
- Children aged 5 and above are welcome on board.
- Scuba diving is only permitted for certified divers.
