To reach the capsules of the Lodge at the Rock, perched high on a cliff in Peru's Sacred Valley, you climb 400 meters via a via ferrata or traverse an exciting path over a suspension bridge and abseil down into the valley via zipline.

The effort is worth it!

From your glass-enclosed, suspended bedroom, you have an impressive view of the famous Sacred Valley.

Handcrafted from aerospace aluminum and weather-resistant polycarbonate, each suite is fully equipped with four beds, a dining area, and a private bathroom with an eco-friendly toilet and sink, separated from the bedroom by an insulated wall. The capsule suites, which are 7 m long and 2.40 m high and wide, have six windows and four ventilation ducts to ensure a pleasant atmosphere. Safety is guaranteed by the fact that the exit portal is located in the upper part of the capsule.

The dome also has curtains to protect your privacy from the prying eyes of passing condors (your neighbors). High-quality mattresses, cotton sheets, down pillows, and duvets ensure a warm and comfortable night at an altitude of 400 meters.

Each module uses an alternative lighting system with solar panels that store energy in batteries for the four interior lamps and a solar reading lamp for each bed.

Your stay includes breakfast, a gourmet dinner with wine, transportation from Cuzco, and a professional bilingual guide (English/Spanish).

And the way back? Either zipline or abseiling! What will you choose? An unforgettable mountain experience!

How to stay overnight

The Skylodge Adventure Suites consists of three exclusive capsule suites—Luna, Silves, and Miranda—with a total capacity of 12 people, maximum 4 people per suite. The vertically suspended, transparent capsule suites are located at the summit of a mountain approximately 400 meters high, offering a 300-degree view of the majestic Sacred Valley.

Lunch (not included in the room rate) consists of 4 courses (soup, salad, main course, dessert) and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages (red or white wine or champagne).

VIA FERRATA – Via Ferrata

The via ferrata is one way to reach the Skylodge Adventure Suites and the safest way to climb a 300-meter rock face. Attach your double carabiner system to the steel safety line and experience unique emotions as you climb the rock face with the help of iron ladders, knowing that you are 100% safe and enjoying breathtaking views. You will be accompanied by professional guides (English & French speaking) and equipped with CE-certified equipment. No experience is necessary, but the minimum age for climbing the Sacred Valley via ferrata is 8 years old, and you should be in good physical condition.

The via ferrata can also be booked as a day trip from Cusco, without staying overnight at the Skylodge Adventure Suites. Wear light clothing and comfortable shoes (tennis shoes, light hiking boots, no sandals). Please note that the weather gets colder and windier at higher altitudes. You can take extra clothing with you in a small backpack. Bring at least 1 liter of water.
The ascent and descent take 4 hours from the foot of the mountain. Reservations must be made in advance. Planning depends on the weather.

ZIPLINE

The Sacred Valley zipline offers people of all ages the opportunity to fly over this magical and magnificent valley in a safe and entertaining way. The zipline has 7 ropes or cables ranging from 150 to 700 m and a total length of 2800 m.
To get to the first zipline, there is a 35-minute hike equipped with a via ferrata system to give all adventurous people maximum safety and confidence. All paths between the ziplines are equipped with this via ferrata system. No experience is necessary, but the minimum age for the Sacred Valley Zip-Line is 7 years. The necessary equipment is provided.

The zipline can also be booked as a day trip from Cusco or Ollantaytambo, without staying overnight at the Skylodge Adventure Suites. Wear light clothing, preferably long pants and comfortable shoes (tennis shoes or light hiking boots, no sandals). Please note that the weather gets colder and windier at higher altitudes. You can take extra clothing with you in a small backpack. Bring at least 1 liter of water with you. Reservations must be made in advance. Planning depends on the weather.

Good to know

Further information

Maximum weight of 120 kg (265 lbs) to safely climb the via ferrata and use the zipline.
Please wear comfortable clothing, no shorts, hiking or running shoes, a thermal jacket that you can wear under a light jacket, and warm (thermal) clothing. The coldest months are from June to August.
Please bring your own personal hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste), as there are no showers.
Please bring a small, lightweight bag with you; the rest of your luggage can be stored in an office in Urubamba and will be sent back by car the next day.
Bring at least 1 liter of water with you. You can bring your empty bottle, which can be refilled with purified water at the base, at the beginning and end of the activity. Please recycle the bottles.
Minimum age 18 years old
The minimum age for lunch at Skylodge Adventure Suites—as a day trip from Cusco—is 7 years old for ziplining and 8 years old for the via ferrata.
