SY Icebird

Polar expedition yacht for 6–8 guests

SY Icebird

Polar expedition yacht for 6–8 guests — Antarctica in its most pristine form.

The SY Icebird is an 18.6-meter ice-strengthened aluminum sailing yacht, built for those seeking a genuine, unfiltered polar experience. While larger ships anchor in the main bays, the Icebird ventures into the most remote corners of Antarctica.

With only 6–8 guests on board, you won’t be just another face in the crowd—you’ll be part of a small crew. Every landing is intimate, every kayaking excursion is tailored to you, and every encounter with icebergs, seals, and penguins is unspoiled.

The heated, double-glazed pilothouse saloon offers panoramic views of the ice and mountains while the yacht is underway. It is fully insulated, air-conditioned, and equipped with hot-water radiators and heated towel rails—even in the bathrooms. The aft garage houses a Zodiac, kayaks, and diving gear for your chosen Antarctic program.

Designed by Van de Stadt, built at the Trintella shipyard in the Netherlands, and certified for all oceans: The Icebird is more than just a yacht—it’s your personal playground in the ice.
