No single cabin supplement. Not just for solo travelers!

Even though this article is aimed exclusively at solo travelers, all trips can of course also be booked by couples or groups.

This time, however, the focus is on travel offers with heart for solo travelers.

And before anyone puts on a sympathetic face—that's inappropriate: most solo travelers are committed solo travelers! They get along very well on their own and simply don't need someone around all the time. They enjoy every second of their travels, are independent, and love their freedom.

Unfortunately, solo travelers are often disadvantaged when traveling.

You get the smaller rooms, sometimes even with those awful single beds and in a suboptimal location. In restaurants, you get a side table where there just happened to be space for one. On the bus, you get the seats that happen to be free.

In doing so, they sometimes pay up to 80% more than couples.

Slowly but surely, things seem to be changing among tour operators and cruise lines: the number of offers for solo travelers without single room or cabin surcharges is increasing—and not just during the low season. The fact that there are more and more great offers for solo travelers shows that we are not alone: individuality is becoming increasingly popular.

And even those who usually travel as a couple in a double room now have the option of simply booking two single cabins.

I will continue to do everything I can to ensure that you travel safely and comfortably.Stephanie Gräf | Travel agent & owner

As always, the following applies:
Quotas are very limited, soit's worth making a quick decision.

“Once around the globe, please. But just for me.”

Today's offers for solo travelers cover the whole world:

  • In spring, we travel to North and Central America and Southern Europe.
  • I offer expedition cruises to Iceland and Greenland in summer, as well as sailing trips through the Adriatic Sea and the Balinese islands.
  • Then cruisetoFrance and the Portuguese Atlantic coast inthe fall.
  • Finally, we simply reverse the seasons: in European winter , we head to the other side of the globe: in the breathtaking Antarctic, December is the height of summer.

And best of all: solo travelers pay nosurcharges on any of our trips .

Thank you for being here and for your long-standing loyalty 🙂

Yours, Stephanie Gräf

Single cabins without surcharge for Hurtigruten Norway in June

For spontaneous solo travelers, we have a special treat for the midnight sun in Norway. On selected departures of the Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen & Bergen-Kirkenes-Trondheim trips, we offer single cabins at no extra charge .

Viewpoint at Geiranger Fjord

Viewpoint at Geiranger Fjord

This is the classic Hurtigruten voyage. Connoisseurs also call it "the most beautiful sea voyage in the world." Between Bergen and Trondheim (or Bergen and Kirkenes), you will experience the best natural panoramas along 2,500 nautical miles of spectacular coastal landscapes.

These are just some of the highlights along the route (Bergen – Kirkenes – Bergen):

  • You cross the Arctic Circle (twice on the 12-day trip)
  • You will visit the North Cape, including the North Cape baptism. From here, you are only 2,000 km away from the geographic North Pole. On the North Cape plateau, 307 m above sea level, you will experience the indescribable feeling of being at the end of the world.
  • You cruise past 800-meter-high towering walls and impressive waterfalls into the stunning Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (only between June 1 and August 31).
  • The charm of the Lofoten Islandsis reflected in picturesque fishing villages with a wildly romantic atmosphere, majestic granite cliffs, and white sandy beaches.
  • In the polar capital of Tromsø, I recommend visiting the Arctic Cathedral, with its unique modern architecture and glass mosaics. The special cultural scene is enriched by Norway's northernmost university, ensuring that life in the numerous cafés and restaurants is vibrant around the clock. Excursion tip: midnight concert in the Arctic Cathedral.
  • Hammerfest is the northernmost city in the world and, with its meridian column erected in 1845 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, commemorates the first accurate measurement of the globe.
  • Medieval Bryggen: Bergen's Hanseatic quarter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take the funicular railway up to the 320-meter-high Fløyen mountain, which offers a wonderful view of Bergen and its fjords, and visit the fish market.

Some of the highlights mentioned can be seen as part of paid excursions.

For Norway's spectacular fjords, I highly recommend the legendary Hurtigruten postal ship company. The ships are designed to supply people in areas that are difficult to reach by other means of transport and call at various ports several times a day. From the ship, you can enjoy breathtaking natural scenery. This is enhanced by excursions in most ports.

When traveling with Hurtigruten, opt for the 12-day trip rather than shorter options: ports that you visited during the day on the outward journey (e.g., northbound) will be visited at night on the southbound journey, and you will visit other ports instead. This way, you will experience new highlights on every route.

Feel free to compare the routes offered by AIDA, MeinSchiff, Phoenix, or American cruise lines. Due to their size alone, most ships from other cruise lines are unable to call at small ports. Most routes do not even reach the Arctic Circle, let alone go beyond it, meaning you will miss out on the most spectacular highlights.Stephanie Gräf | Travel agent & owner

Sailing trip in Indonesia on the SY Star Clipper

7, 10, or 11 nights aboard the SY Star Clipper from/to Bali

Bali remains a dream destination for many Central Europeans. The Indonesian island, with its lush rice fields, snow-white beaches, and unforgettable sunsets, is synonymous with romantic moments and Buddhist serenity.

We can top that idea:
Cruise along the coast of the Indonesian archipelago under white sails on the luxurious Star Clipper sailing yacht:

Mighty volcanoes, rice terraces, enchanted bays and small fishing villages, majestic temples and fine sandy beaches. Like a private yacht, the Star Clipper can drop anchor in small harbors and secluded bays that are inaccessible to large cruise ships.
