Weather: The geographical location in the North Atlantic makes the weather in the Faroe Islands unpredictable. All four seasons can occur in a single day. Ferry and boat trips are particularly susceptible to wind and waves. The program may therefore be affected by unfavorable weather conditions.
The trip is not recommended for people with limited mobility.
To rent and drive a rental car, you need a valid Class B driver's license.

Day 1: Vágar – Majestic Landscapes and Stunning Nature
After your individual arrival, you will pick up your rental car. Your journey into the impressive nature of the Faroe Islands begins in this comfortable vehicle. Your first stop is the small village of Bøur. On the way there, you will already catch spectacular views of the breathtaking landscape and the blue sea. Once you arrive at your first destination, you will explore picturesque Bøur. From here, you will have an incomparable view of the majestic cliffs of Tindhólmur and Drangarnir.
The next stop on your route is Gásadalur. Near this tranquil village, you can experience the breathtaking Múlafossur waterfall, whose waters plunge directly into the blue sea. Stretch your legs on a short walk that will take you to the perfect viewpoint.
On the very first day, your first traditional lunch awaits you at the local farm café. Prepared with fresh local ingredients from the island, you will get to know Faroese cuisine and hospitality.
After lunch, you will drive to Miðvágur. The hike to "Lake Above the Ocean" is a wonderful highlight that offers you a unique panorama with a vast lake and the roaring sea.
At the end of the day, you’ll drive to the capital, Tórshavn.
Take some time to make a few stops along the way—the winding mountain road offers views of the charming landscape. Once you arrive in the Faroe Islands’ capital, you’ll check into your hotel.

Day 2 Kirkjubøur, Sandoy & an exciting RIB boat tour
After a hearty breakfast, your day begins with a trip to the historic village of Kirkjubøur. This charming coastal village is the cultural cradle of the Faroe Islands and will impress you with its old farmhouses, the imposing ruins of Magnus Cathedral, and the traditional royal court, which has been inhabited for over 900 years.
After this cultural introduction, an unforgettable experience on the sea awaits you. In a fast RIB boat, you will travel along the dramatic coastline of Hestur Island. Majestic cliffs rise out of the deep blue water, while countless seabirds circle above you. A very special highlight of this tour is the entrance to the largest sea cave in the world – a natural spectacle that will take your breath away.
Back on land, continue your journey and take the Undersea Tunnel to the island of Sandoy. This island is considered one of the most peaceful in the Faroe Islands. Discover the wide sandy beaches, charming villages, and idyllic natural scenery that make Sandoy so unique. Take your time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and take in the beauty of the landscape.
After a day full of discoveries and experiences, you will return to Tórshavn in the evening, where you can relax and unwind.

Day 3: Kalsoy – Dramatic Cliffs
Drive your rental car once more through the unique roundabout and tunnel, the Eysturoyartunnilin. The road takes you to Klaksvík, the second largest town in the Faroe Islands. A ferry will take you to the mystical island of Kalsoy.
Kalsoy, often referred to as "the flute island," captivates visitors with its long, narrow valleys and towering cliffs. Here you can take an unforgettable hike to the Kallurin lighthouse. The trail leads you through breathtaking scenery, past green hills and along dramatic precipices. At your destination, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the North Atlantic. In addition to enjoying nature, you can visit not only the grave of James Bond, but also the famous statue of the seal woman.
After the hike, enjoy a delicious lunch in a cozy café on Kalsoy before taking the ferry back to Klaksvík in the afternoon.
The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish: explore the northern islands of Kunoy, Borðoy, and Viðoy, known for their rugged beauty and secluded landscapes, or return to Tórshavn for a stroll through the beautiful city.

Day 4: Deep-sea fishing & sea breeze
On this day, you will feel the fresh sea breeze on your face as you set sail on the open sea with an experienced captain. Aboard a traditional Faroese fishing boat, you will glide across the water to the best deep-sea fishing spots. Under expert guidance, you will have the opportunity to catch different species of fish while marveling at the impressive coastal landscape of the Faroe Islands from the water.
After a successful catch, you return to shore, where you prepare your catch together with the captain. Enjoy a delicious dinner with freshly caught fish.

Day 5: Country life & authentic village life
Today, a special experience awaits you: a morning at a traditional Faroese farm in Selatræð. Surrounded by the rugged yet idyllic Faroese countryside, you’ll gain an authentic glimpse into the daily lives of local farmers. You’ll learn how closely the people here are connected to nature and their animals, and how important agriculture is to life on the islands.
One highlight of the visit is getting to know the most typical inhabitants of the Faroe Islands—the sheep. You will have the opportunity to feed the animals and learn more about how they are kept and their role in Faroese culture.
After a morning full of exciting impressions, you will be treated to a homemade lunch. In the cozy dining room of the farmhouse, you can enjoy freshly prepared regional specialties and get a taste of the simple but delicious cuisine of the Faroe Islands.
In the afternoon, you will continue your journey and explore some of the most beautiful villages in the Faroe Islands. In Saksun, you will find an almost fairytale-like setting with grass-covered houses and a spectacular lagoon that forms a lake or a beach depending on the tide. The journey continues to Tjørnuvík, a remote village with a black sand beach surrounded by steep mountains. From here, you have an impressive view of the famous rock formations"Risin & Kellingin,"which, according to legend, are a petrified giant and his wife. Your exploration tour ends in Gjógv, an idyllic coastal village known for its natural rock gorge, which serves as a protected boat landing.
Alternatively, you can opt for a leisurely return trip to Tórshavn and spend a relaxing afternoon in the capital.
