As a special highlight, I recommend signing up for sea kayaking, paddling , or stand-up paddleboarding (additional fee) when you make your booking. As you glide across the mirror-smooth, kilometer-deep surface of the Southern Ocean, you will form a lasting bond with this region.

itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Punta Arenas, Chile
Your adventure begins in Punta Arenas, Chile, the most populous city in southern Patagonia. If you arrive early, there are many museums, restaurants, and shops to keep you busy for days. In the early afternoon, a representative will meet you at the hotel, where you will enjoy a welcome dinner and receive information about the preparations for your embarkation day.
Day 2: Flight to King George Island and embarkation
Your charter flight from Punta Arenas to Antarctica will take you across the legendary Drake Passage in just a few hours. Far below, the ship approaches King George Island for your arrival. Your first glimpse of Antarctica's dramatic landscapes will be from a unique perspective as your plane descends to land on the South Shetland Islands. After landing, stretch your legs with a 1.6 km walk to the coast before being taken by Zodiac to your ship to reach the Antarctic Peninsula!
Days 3–6: Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands
There are few places in the world as evocative as Antarctica. As your ship approaches the White Continent, you may be overcome with feelings of excitement and awe. Antarctica is indescribable and can only be fully appreciated through your own eyes.
As your captain and expedition team scan the waters for whales and seabirds, you will be informed of each new sighting. The team of experienced presenters will enhance your experience with explanations about glaciology, history, and wildlife in the region.
Even more exciting are the daily excursions. You will never forget your first Zodiac landing! A walk on a beach covered with penguins is the most intimate way to experience the unique wildlife of Antarctica. Each landing is different and depends on the weather, but every day offers new sightings and photo opportunities, and it won't be long before you can tell the difference between an Adélie, gentoo, and chinstrap penguin.
You can take a Zodiac ride in search of whales and icebergs one day, followed by a hike to a penguin breeding station the next. From the booming sound of a calving glacier to the thrill of seeing apex predators such as leopard seals and killer whales in action, you'll wake up early and greet each day with a sense of adventure and discovery during this unparalleled travel experience.
Your expedition team will accompany you throughout your journey and provide insights into the places you visit.
Day 7: Disembarkation and flight to Punta Arenas
After your week of exploration, you will say goodbye to your expedition team and disembark on King George Island. Your two-and-a-half-hour flight across the Drake Passage to Punta Arenas, Chile, will conclude your adventure. After a group transfer to the hotel, you can spend an evening in the city or at the hotel on your own, reminiscing about the sights and sounds of Antarctica.
Day 8: Departure from Punta Arenas
After breakfast, you can continue your journey on your own or drive to Punta Arenas Airport for your flights home.

KAYAKING*
Imagine gliding across the surface of a bay surrounded by icebergs and glaciers. Kayaking is a great way to explore your surroundings in a spectacular way. A small group of kayakers will go out several times per trip as an alternative to landings or Zodiac rides.
The number of opportunities for kayaking depends on the weather and is only available in calm conditions. Previous kayaking experience is required, and you must be able to exit the kayak into the water in order to participate. Beginners who are interested in kayaking should consider participating in the paddle tour.
If you are interested in kayaking but are less experienced in sea kayaking, a paddle touris the perfect option for you. Paddling on stable sit-on-top kayaks is perfect for anyone with little or no kayaking experience. On calm days, rotating groups of passengers are selected, with experienced guides always on hand to give you instructions and help you connect with the Arctic Ocean.
STAND-UP PADDLING (MS WORLD VOYAGER ONLY)*
The combination of surfing with kayaking, stand-up paddling, and paddling gives you a very personal and unique perspective on Antarctica. Conducted in small groups – in calm bays and harbors, in good weather – and accompanied by a safety gyro, one-time stand-up paddle excursions can be booked in advance in two consecutive priority groups. After the first two successful excursions, this activity will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis for all subsequent excursions by registering on board the ship.
*subject to a fee
PLEASE NOTE
Advance registration is required for all paid activities. It is recommended to book early as places fill up quickly. Please refer to your information materials for a list of equipment provided for each option.
