Day 1 Flight across the Atlantic

Today you fly to Calgary! Here, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, your tour guide will welcome you and take you to your deluxe hotel in Banff.

Day 2 Banff and Yoho National Parks

Today's day trip takes you to the idyllic mountain lakes of Banff and Yoho National Parks. You will visit the famous Lake Louise with the towering Victoria Glacier behind it, as well as the lesser-known but no less attractive Moraine Lake and Emerald Lake. With a little luck, you can enjoy exciting wildlife viewing and marvel at the roaring spray of Takakkaw Falls. (FA)

Day 3: On the train through the Rocky Mountains

Today, you will cross the Rocky Mountains in the famous Rocky Mountaineer. While you are treated to meals at your seat, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Kicking Horse and Roger Pass mountain passes and the Shushwap Lake landscape. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at your very good mid-range hotel in Kamloops. (FM)

Day 4 Along the Fraser River with the Rocky Mountaineer

Today, the Rocky Mountaineer takes you along the Thompson and Fraser Rivers through impressive canyons with names that sound almost as impressive, such as Rainbow Canyon and Hell's Gate. In the late afternoon, your train arrives in Vancouver, where you will stay for two nights in your centrally located deluxe hotel. (FM)

Day 5 Vancouver: Nature and Architecture

On a bus tour, you will get to know the city, which is renowned for its high quality of life. A panoramic drive will take you to Stanley Park, where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of downtown Vancouver's glass skyline. You will walk to the totem poles erected in the park, which will give you fascinating insights into the culture of the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Coast. Afterwards, you will visit the breathtaking Capilano Suspension Bridge and take the cable car up Grouse Mountain, Vancouver's local mountain, which offers a panoramic view of the peninsula and the surrounding inlets. Back in the city, you will have some free time before enjoying dinner at the Harbour View Tower, which offers a completely different perspective of this modern city. (FA)

Day 6 Welcome aboard!

Take advantage of your hotel's central location to stroll to Gastown, Vancouver's old town with its lovingly restored Victorian-era buildings. This neighborhood of brick houses in the former port is now an attractive entertainment district with restaurants, bars, art galleries, numerous boutiques, and the Steam Clock, a steam-powered clock. In the afternoon, you will move into your comfortable cabin on your cruise ship in the port of Vancouver. (FA)

Day 7 Inside Passage

Enjoy one of the world's most beautiful waterways, a labyrinth of mountainous islands, canals, and fjords! With a little luck, your ship will be accompanied by dolphins and orcas. (FMA)

Day 8 Tracy Arm and Juneau

On the journey to the Tracy Arm glaciers, you will start your day with a natural spectacle before your ship docks in Alaska's capital. Juneau offers a colorful mix of picturesque buildings from the gold rush era, Victorian mansions, and modern architecture. A particularly worthwhile destination in the area is the Mendenhall Glacier with its shimmering ice surface, which can be reached either by excursion bus or helicopter (optional excursions, bookable through the Holland America shipping company). Day 9 Skagway

Well-preserved Western facades, wooden sidewalks, hotels, and saloons are reminders of the gold rush era. Our special tip: take a train ride on the White Pass and Yukon Railroad (optional excursions, bookable through Holland America Line). (FMA)

Day 10 Glacier Bay National Park

Today you will be cruising in one of the most spectacular glacier areas in the world! Against the unique backdrop of an alpine mountain world, you can watch the melting ice masses plunge into the sea and seals basking on ice floes glistening in the sun. (FMA)

Day 11 Ketchikan

Today, your ship will dock in Ketchikan. On historic Creek Street, you can admire Dolly's House, once a brothel and now a museum, which recalls the wild days of the gold rush. (FMA)

Day 12 Inside Passage

You disembark in Vancouver. A transfer takes you to the airport, from where you fly back home. (B)
