This trip is a customized trip that we plan just for you. We are happy to tailor the excursion program, accommodations, route, and duration to your preferences.

Arrival: We will be happy to provide you with a personalized quote including flight arrival and departure.

Pre- and post-program: Extend your trip a little longer. Extend your stay on Easter Island or visit other destinations in Chile, such as Patagonia, the Atacama Desert, or Santiago de Chile.

Entry requirements: German citizens need only a passport (valid for at least six months beyond the date of return) to enter Chile. To visit Easter Island (Rapa Nui), you must also register online before departure—the island actively regulates visitor numbers. We will keep you informed of the current situation as you plan your trip.

The trip is not recommended for people with limited mobility.

Discover Easter Island privately and actively

Day 1: Easter Island
Upon arrival on Easter Island, you will be welcomed in traditional style with flower necklaces and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Rano Raraku Volcano & Anakena Bay
Today, a full-day excursion to the Rano Raraku volcano with the Moai quarry is on the agenda. In Anakena Bay, with the island's only palm-lined beach, you will then have the opportunity to go swimming. This was the seat of the mystical King Hotu Matua.

Day 3: Rano Kau Volcano & Orongo (approx. ↑↓300 m elevation gain, approx. 4 hours, approx. 5 km)
You will hike towards the Rano Kauvolcano and enjoy fantastic views of the entire island and the volcano's lagoon. You will then arrive at the Orongo ceremonial site, which has the largest collection of petroglyphs in all of Polynesia. The afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 4: Maunga Terevaka Volcano & Ahu Akivi (approx. ↑↓500 m elevation gain, approx. 4 hours, approx. 10 km)
You will drive to the foot of the Maunga Terevaka volcano, where the impressive Moai Ahu Akivi are located. From here, you will hike to the summit of the extinct volcano. This is followed by a descent to a former sheep farm.

Who is an active vacation on Easter Island suitable for?

This trip is designed as an active hiking tour—with daily hikes of up to ten kilometers and elevation changes of up to 500 meters. How do I get to Easter Island?

How much does the Easter Island Adventure Tour cost?

You can find the current prices for the five-day package above. Flights from Germany are not included; upon request, we can provide you with a total quote that includes round-trip airfare.

When can I start my trip?

Arrival is possible any day; there are no fixed group departure dates. The trip is available year-round; prices vary depending on the season and when you book. Surcharges may apply during the New Year’s holiday, Easter, and local holidays.

Can Easter Island be combined with other destinations in Chile?

Yes. Easter Island is an excellent choice as a pre- or post-trip extension to a larger tour of Chile. If you’d like to combine Chile and Easter Island, Patagonia, the Atacama Desert, and Santiago de Chile are obvious additions. Domestic flights can also be bundled as part of the South America Airpass. Please contact me, and I’ll put together a customized itinerary for you.

Can you reach Easter Island by cruise ship?

Yes, a few cruise routes do stop at the island. There is no deep-water port—ships anchor off the coast, and passengers are brought ashore by tender boat, so the time available for the visit is correspondingly limited. To really experience the island, I recommend spending at least four to five days there. If you’re planning a route that includes a stop at Easter Island, I’ll be honest with you about what’s realistic.

Do I need a rental car on Easter Island?

No. All transfers, excursions, and trekking tours are included in the travel package—including a private tour guide. You will be picked up daily and taken to the respective sites. A rental car is not necessary.
