On a safari in the nearby Serengeti National Park, you have a very good chance of seeing the 'Big 5', a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Drawings by the Maasai can still be seen on the impressive Moru Kopjes, and thousands of flamingos are at home on nearby Lake Magadi.

End an exciting day on safari with a sundowner in the lounge and experience a breathtaking sunset over the seemingly endless grasslands of the Serengeti.

Arrival:We are happy to book flightsto/from Arusha or Seronera Airstrip and transfers to Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp for you on request.

Travel program: You can book Serengeti Pioneer Camp individually. We also offer Serengeti Pioneer Camp as part of our SkySafari. Alternatively, we can suggest a customized private trip with a selection of other lodges.

Entry requirements: Germancitizens need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months and a tourist visa to enter Tanzania. Further information on entry requirements and the latest security advice can be found at the U.S. Department of State.

Insurance: Werecommend taking out good travel cancellation insurance and international health insurance from a specialist provider.

The Serengeti Pioneer Camp consists of twelve tented accommodations—including a family tent with two bedrooms—and is reminiscent of the best of a bygone but by no means forgotten era.

The enclosed tents with canvas-covered floors are furnished with carpets, luxurious upholstered furniture, a desk, and writing utensils. Each tent has its own bathroom with a flush toilet, sink, and a period-style hot water shower.

The nearest international airport is Kilimanjaro Airport. From there, it is approximately a 1 hour 25 minute drive to Arusha Airstrip. Alternatively, you can fly directly to Arusha. From there, you can fly on to Seronera Airstrip (Arusha – Seronera approx. 60 min flight time). From Seronera Airstrip, it is then approximately a 50-minute drive to the camp.
Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp is located in the south of the central Serengeti plains and overlooks the seemingly endless grasslands.

Make it easy on yourself and book the Game Package directly. In addition to meals, this package also includes joint and planned game drives, guided hikes and sundowners in the bush, as well as transfers to and from the designated airstrips, laundry service, service charge, and VAT.

Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
