Good Morning Resort

Pelkosenniemi, Lapland, Finland

Best time for auroras: October to March

We love Sunday Morning for our multi-generational families. Some families book the beautiful private lodge all to themselves: 4 double rooms in the main lodge and 4 well-equipped and spacious Aihki apartments on two floors (each for 2–5 people) with their own sauna provide the perfect base for this.

Your entire stay will be tailored just for you:

Glide silently and emission-free across the lake on e-scooters, enjoy a typically Finnish experience in the large sauna house by the lake with its ice hole and jacuzzi, go ice fishing, and explore Pyhä-Luosto National Park on fat bikes or snowshoes.

To ensure that everyone in the family can enjoy their vacation, we will even do your shopping and fill the refrigerator in your apartment. All we need is your shopping list.

The lodge's own Aihki restaurant is known throughout Finland for its high-quality and creative Scandinavian cuisine. All ingredients on the constantly changing menu are sourced locally. From time to time, Michelin-starred chefs visit the resort and cook as guest chefs.

Best time for aurora borealis*: October to March

The aurora borealis is a truly magical phenomenon in the Arctic night sky. The Sunday Morning Resort is an excellent place to see the Northern Lights, as you are located above the Arctic Circle. As long as the sky is clear and the night is dark enough, the phenomenon occurs frequently this far north! There is no light pollution far and wide, making it easier to watch the nightly dance in the sky.

*Northern lights are a natural phenomenon! We cannot guarantee sightings.
