The Lappish Kammi Resort is located just 8 km from Rovaniemi Airport, yet in the middle of the wilderness by a lake.
My personal highlights are the Kammi and Komsio suites, which are furnished with great attention to Lappish culture. Unsurpassed: the round bed in the loft under the glass roof.
But the Aurora cabins with their glass igloo roofs, the Aurora trailer, and the small cabin made entirely of ice also offer plenty of variety when it comes to overnight stays.

The private owners are always coming up with new ideas for their guests: a reindeer enclosure has just been built next to the restaurant. From breakfast onwards, you can watch the most beautiful animals in their own herd. This is also a big highlight for the little ones.
Activities start right outside the front door. This means you don't waste any time with tedious transfers.

Aurora Cabins offer one of the most unique vacation experiences you could dream of. You can truly feel the Arctic nature and the space that opens up above and around you. The highlight of the cabin is the heated panoramic glass roof, which remains frost- and snow-free at all times.
The Aurora Cabins are equipped with two single beds, a double bed or a king-size bed and a pull-out sofa, private bathroom with shower and toilet, free coffee, tea and WiFi.
If you are wondering what the difference is between Aurora Cabin, Aurora Cabin Queen, and Aurora Cabin King: Aurora Cabin Queens are located near Lake Olkka and offer lake views. They have also been furnished with great attention to detail. Aurora Cabin Kings are larger and have a small living area. The Kings also feature a dark interior and an inviting king-size bed. The Aurora Cabins Family have a separate bedroom.

As the largest accommodation at Apukka Resort, Villa Apukka has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It offers privacy, yet is only a short walk from the resort's amenities. Aitta Restaurant
Surrounded by history and the stories of its 100-year-old log walls, Restaurant Aitta transports you to a rustic era full of Lapland's mystical tales and legends. Tastefully decorated, with a large fireplace and spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and Lake Olkka, Restaurant Aitta offers experiences both on your plate and within its four walls. Kota Restaurant
In this small, cozy restaurant, Kota, the gentle scent of smoke and the warmth of the fire invite you to relax. After an active day outdoors, all you need to do is unwind and enjoy delicious food.
You can come to this restaurant just as you are. There is no need for fancy clothes or makeup. In fact, comfortable casual wear is even better, as you may take home the light scent of smoke as a souvenir of your visit.
Riihi Lobby Bar
The Riihi Lobby Bar at our reception serves snacks and drinks to our guests. Enjoy a light snack and a hot drink upon arrival, or spend an evening playing games and relaxing in our lobby bar.
Sauna Experiences
The resort has its own unique sauna world: a wood-fired sauna, an electric sauna, a lake sauna with Arctic bathing facilities—and much more. But the most unusual sauna is our own creation: the sauna cart. This is a small, wood-fired sauna on skis that can be brought right to your glass igloo or suite.
