Ice Hotel

Jukkasjärvi, Northern Sweden

Sleeping in ice 365 days a year
The ICEHOTEL in northern Sweden will leave you in awe. Located 200 km above the Arctic Circle, this unique hotel offers a very special Swedish experience. The hotel, made from blocks of ice from the Torne River, is rebuilt every year and offers many different ice suites, each individually designed by an ice artist.
You sleep on reindeer skins in a thermal sleeping bag at temperatures between -5 and -8 degrees Celsius. After one night, it is recommended that you move to the warm hotel rooms. The cozy rooms and chalets in Nordic style are perfect for warming up after a frosty night.

The ICEHOTEL offers you many different ways to discover the beautiful snow-covered wilderness surrounding the hotel. On a snowmobile tour, you can see the Northern Lights and maybe even spot a few moose. To warm up afterwards, enjoy a traditional Swedish sauna ritual with a hot tub and ice bath in the Torne River.
And to round off the day, the chefs at THE VERANDA will cook a 12-course meal right in front of you, using regional ingredients from the river, forest, and mountains.
There is also plenty to discover around the ICEHOTEL in summer. The Torne River is ideal for river rafting and fishing. And the forests surrounding the hotel are perfect for hiking along the river. If you are looking for a challenge, the 16-meter-high climbing garden is the place for you.
The ICEHOTEL offers "cold rooms" made of ice, which are only available from December to April, and "warm rooms," which are normal hotel rooms and chalets that can be booked all year round. There is also the ICEHOTEL 365, which offers the opportunity to stay in ice suites 365 days a year. Art Suites and various Deluxe Suites are available.

A fairground “on the rocks”, it celebrates the 30th birthday of Icehotel in grand style, so why not admire the frozen jollifications from the hot air balloon or take a spin on the unicorn carousel? Feel your stomach tingle as you line up for the twirling Ferris wheel or gasp at the dropping roller coasters. 'Torneland' is a tribute to 30 years of frozen fun in Jukkasjärvi.
