Another day dedicated to Lake Titicaca, believed to be the cradle of Inca civilization. You will visit the floating reed islands of the Uros Indians and Taquile Island. The Titicaca Explorer takes you to Cusco in the elegant style of the magnificent Pullman trains of the 1920s. This morning, you will explore Cusco's most important sites on foot. In the famous cathedral, you will admire carved woodwork, an ornate altar, and several hundred paintings from the 17th-century Cusco School. Your discovery tour continues to the Koricancha Sun Temple, where you will witness the incredible architecture of the Incas—a technical masterpiece that remains a mystery to this day! Then you will walk along Hatunrumiyoc Street, named after the 12-sided stone that is still clearly visible in the remaining wall of the Inca Roca Palace. You will make a final stop in the artisan district of San Blas.
