Oct. 13, 2025General, Antarctica & South Pole, Wiki Antarctica

Dear valued customers,

It's finally about to begin! We have compiled the most important information for you here once again:

Important:

  • Please bring waterproof pants—they are essential for Zodiac trips and shore excursions.
  • Save our emergency number for WhatsApp messages and send us a short test message: +49 201 85890960 (landline number for Business WhatsApp)
  • Do we have your emergency contact at home?
  • All guests are required to purchase travel insurance that covers medical expenses for hospitalization, isolation, and evacuation.
  • Tips in cash (in an envelope) – please protect them from theft, approx. 15 EUR/USD per person/day

New entry requirements for Argentina (effective July 1, 2025)

From July 1, 2025, all foreign travelers must present the following documents when entering Argentina:

  • Valid health insurance covering the following:
  • General and emergency medical care
  • Hospital stays due to illness or accidents
  • 24/7 medical support
  • Medical transport (if necessary)
  • The insurance must cover the entire duration of the stay and also cover unforeseen events (e.g., flight cancellations, lost luggage).
  • Proof of onward travel – e.g., a return ticket or a confirmed departure route.
  • Proof of accommodation – either a confirmed booking or the address of the accommodation where the traveler will be staying in Argentina.
  • These documents must be presented at all points of entry (including airports, border crossings, ports, and land control points). ACTION: Please print!
  • Argentine citizens and permanent residents are exempt from this regulation.

What else?

  • Have you conveniently saved your flight tickets in our app?
  • A pair of small binoculars gives you a head start when observing animals!
